Fundraising

At Laurier Heights, fundraising is about more than dollars—it’s about creating opportunities for every student to learn, explore, and thrive. Our School Council and PAL follow ASCA fundraising principles, ensuring that every initiative is purposeful, transparent, and focused on enhancing the student experience.

Our Primary Fundraisers

Collecting Money
Casino Table Scene

Casino

Big impact. Just two days.

Our casino fundraiser takes place approximately every 18 months to 2 years and is one of the largest funding opportunities for Laurier Heights School—raising approximately $80,000 per event.

Why It Matters

Casino funds help support:

  • Student experiences and enrichment

  • Classroom resources and learning tools

  • School enhancements and special initiatives

  • Opportunities beyond what regular fundraising can provide

RunRaiser

Our signature annual community fundraiser.

RunRaiser brings students, families, local businesses, and neighbours together each year for an evening of connection, celebration, and giving back.

Something for Every Student

The event features:

  • Run-A-Thon for Kindergarten–Grade 6 students

  • Spin-A-Thon for Junior High teams

  • Community activities that bring the whole school together

  • Food Trucks

  • Beer Gardens and much more!

Why it Matters

Funds raised through RunRaiser support a variety of school initiatives, experiences, and enhancements throughout the year.

More than a fundraiser, RunRaiser helps us build an inclusive and connected school community where every child has the opportunity to grow, play, and belong.
