Fundraising

Get Involved

At Laurier Heights, fundraising is about more than dollars—it’s about creating opportunities for every student to learn, explore, and thrive. Our School Council and PAL follow ASCA fundraising principles, ensuring that every initiative is purposeful, transparent, and focused on enhancing the student experience.

Our Primary Fundraisers

Collecting Money

Casino Fundraiser

Our casino fundraiser takes place every 18 months to 2 years and is one of the largest funding opportunities for our school community—raising approximately $60,000 each time.

These funds directly support student experiences, classroom resources, and school enhancements that go beyond what regular fundraising can achieve.

This opportunity is only possible because of volunteers. Casino events require specific roles and longer shifts to meet licensing requirements—but in return, a small group of volunteers can generate significant funding in just two days.

RunRaiser

RunRaiser is Laurier Heights School’s signature annual community fundraiser—bringing families, local businesses, and neighbours together for an evening of connection, celebration, and giving back.

Held each year this event features a running fundraiser for K-6 students and a Spin-A-Thon for junior high teams.

It is also host to local food trucks, a beer garden, and family-friendly activities, creating a vibrant space where our school community comes to life.

Funds raised support school initiatives in a variety of of ways and works to create inclusive community spaces where every child can grow, play, and belong.

More than a fundraiser, RunRaiser is a celebration of what’s possible when a community comes together to invest in its school—and in every student’s future.
